I am trying to sell a 8pc china set by Wedgwood Does anybody Have any knowledge on the value?
I have an 8pc 24kt Bone China Caernarvon set by Wedgwood it is over 40yrs old and at time of purchase it was $4000. I am trying to get some what of a price check or value so that I can put a price tag on it.

Ling answers:
Take a look at a site called Replacements.com. They might be able to help you sell it or advise you.

Ruth asks…
Can the platinum trim around the edge on bone china, that has worn away, be redone, and how?
I am looking at an additional Wedgwood set on EBay and although the price, right now is right, a lot of the platium is worn, do you think it can be fixed properly?

Ling answers:
This cannot be done. No jeweler has the non toxic glaze to go over the china and metal paint. Talk to a local artist who does food safe pieces to see if they have a glaze? But I don't think it would be even enough not to show without a machine application.

Chris asks…
is this Coalport plate worth anything?
I have a plate that I got from my dad a while back ago and was wondering if its worth anything. I found it on a couple of antique websites but it never says how much its worth or anything. I dont have a way to put a picture on here but I found a website that gave a good description on it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
BERMUDA MAP PLATE
“Discovered by Juan de Bermudez 1515”
Diameter: 10 ¾ inches
This Wedgwood plate is creamy white with gold edges, depicting a map of Bermuda in blue. Some of the named points of interest on the map include, “Ireland Island, Wreck Hill, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, Cobbler’s Island, Gibbet Island, Coral Beach, Soldier’s Point & Murray’s Anchorage“. At the top center it says, “Discovered by Juan de Bermudez 1515”. On the reverse it says, “Wedgwood Bone China. COALPORT est 1750 Made in England. Made especially for A.S. Cooper & Sons Ltd., Bermuda.

Ling answers:
worth around $10. Coalport wedgwood has gone down substantially in value within the last fews years, but it was never really that expensive.

Hello Ling,
I would be grateful if you could tell me the purpose of our Wedgwood platter (circa 1891) which has handles, and is raised in the middle. Is it a cheese platter? I’m afraid that cheese knives will damage the china platter. Did the Victorians use this for some other purpose?
Many thanks to you.
