How do you clean antique china and glassware. I don't want to damage it or lose value in it.?
I am new to collecting antiques and want to resell the items so I don't want to harm the value of the items.
I have been collecting for a while...Whatever you do, DO NOT soak in water. Carefully wash with a very mild dishwashing soap like Ivory or Palmolive. Use baking soda to scrub it with if it has anything stuck on it. Make sure you dry it promptly. Don't put either china or crystal in the dishwasher. As for the crystal, if it is foggy, you can use a little white vinegar or lemon juice.
