Can collection agencies contact you at your workplace?
I have a credit card company called me at my place work every day. Today it is called 3 times. I can not believe this is legal. Harassment seems clear to me. I've even been working with them from home and thought that things were fine, but that's the point. Does anyone know if there is any law that prohibits collection agencies call me at my day job? If so, can give references for your answers. Any information that helps. THANKS
I think this is illegal. Look up "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act." This is the law that covers when and how debt collectors can collect debts.
