Freemason symbols?
My friend gave me an old knife that I got at an antique shop. It is very simple, two stainless steel blades, but has an amazing feature. Both sides are what appear to be Masonic symbols. The top is seen as the all-seeing eye. The second is basically two parallel vertical lines. The 3 rd is the square and compass with the letter G in the interior. The fourth is an inverted L L and a good side to side, back to back. The Finally it looks like a paddle or blade of some sort. I do not believe in any conspiracy theories, I'm just a little curious to know what they mean or at least called. Thanks! I did some research, but could not find much. I'm more intrigued than suspicious, and I love to hear a good conspiracy theory but I do not believe in them.
As mentioned, the eye is the all-seeing eye of the Deity. Our actions can not escape his watchful eye, and everything to do or not do is the subject of his trial when he died. The other symbols are considered "tools" of Freemasonry. Plumb - walk uprightly before God and man's Square and Compasses with "G" - standard symbol of Freemasonry. Square = square our actions, bars = remain regulated and subject to our passions, G = Geometry (operative masons), God (the speculative Masons) - the focal points of the operative and speculative Freemasonry.
