I would like someone to tell me about an antique porcelain pitcher I have.?
It has blue and purple violets in it, trimmed in gold. Has JD initials Streicker and is about 5 to 6 inches tall. It has a stamp on the bottom that says AURONIC CHINA if I, m reading right. It 's been in my family her husband years.Any for help would be appreciated. It also has a symbol that looks like a W inside a fish.
what little I know about China can begin. 1. out what is the symbol w i. sounds like it's the manufacturer's brand. a book about the brands of England or Germany may have such a list. the pattern may be new or old (comparativly speaking, as regards ancient objects at least 100 years, in most cases), but can be fdound in a book of patterns and when they were used. 2. can take days or even months to find what you need. there are traders who can say something, but be aware that if they see the issue, and know its value, which can provide little or nothing to buy. know the value before displaying it to them.
