Linda asks…
an easy way to check sponsored listings positions in AdWords?
I advertised for a term and want to know if there is a way I can check what page my ad is coming up on in AdWords?

Ling answers:
It will tell you what position your ad is in inside adwords.

Charles asks…
Why does Yahoo list our trademarked company name with a website for a competitor under sponsored listings?

Ling answers:
Obviously, Yahoo has no idea that your company name is being used by a competitor. Yahoo is under no obligation to research the legality of the name of every business that chooses to advertise on its site.
(Also, you may have a company name that is NOT protectible. Not every name can be trademarked. Since you didn't indicate your name, I can't answer further.)
If you have a complaint (which you may or may not), that complaint should be directed to the competitor who is using "your name," now to Yahoo, who is an innocent party.
Good luck.

Thomas asks…
Percentage of people who click on sponsored links?
Does anyone know how what percentage of people who Search click on Sponsored listings, and how many click on organic search listings. Is there any report on that?

Ling answers:
Let's take Yahoo for example. When you subscribe to their pay-per-click program and you make your 'key words' list they will calculate exactly how many clicks you are likely to obtain according to past statistical data.
Just log on yahoo advertising and try it.
For words such as soccer ball, basket ball, golf ball the estimate was approx 1700 clicks per month for 700,000 impressions on a max bid price 0.34$ per click. It means that 0.25% of all people who type those 3 terms will click on sponsored listing. You make the math for the organic.
The click-ability depends on the ad position. If someone goes for the highest bid, naturally they will receive top position and therefore more clicks.
