Richard asks…
Does anyone know where I can find replacement pieces for "Noel" brand dishes?
These are not china or anything fancy, just sentimental value. I don't have the box in front of me, but the brand name is Noel, and they are white with holly and berries around the edges. Thanks!

I would suggest you do a "google search". You might also try ebay......some one might
just be selling pieces you need! Good luck!

David asks…
The value of an antique/vintage China set? Are there books that list the sets and value?
I have a Mikasa set but can only find sites that sell replacement pieces. I can't find information on full sets. Which is more valuable- selling them piece by piece or as a complete set?

Ling answers:
Books aren't your best source, collectible prices change too fast. Check eBay - search by maker & brand, you should be able to refine the search to your exact pattern. You'll have to revisit every few days till somebody lists what you have. You might be able to search by "completed listings" too.
Per piece vs. Set depends on what the "full set" consists of. For most people today, coffee cups & saucers are a liability when acquiring china. You'll get most $ for plates, small bowls, and small plates. You'll almost have to pay people to take cups & saucers or large low soup bowls (sell them for cereal bowls instead!).

Mark asks…
Does anyone know where this is?
I once went to a place in Virginia (right off RT 81) that sold replacement pieces for china sets. It was a large place that had a lot of other interesting things for sale. I want to say it was not too far from Bristol Va but not really sure since I just happened to come upon it while driving through VA 23 yrs ago!
This wasnt in a mall. It was like a big warehouse. I thinking it was red.

Ling answers:
There was a place called Linz mall or Linz glassware mall or something simalar, but I think there out of business.

Here is a link to my favorite website for the identification and valuation of china, crystal, and silver of all types:
http://www.replacements.com/
This North Carolina specializes in selling that one piece of china or silver that you need to complete a set. They also buy china and other collectibles. It is by far and away the best site I have found for the information you seek. I'm sure you will quickly find your valuation.
Good luck with your search for information.
