Thomas asks…
Royal Doulton (England China) pattern # V 430 L, where can I get the name of the pattern?
I checked several internet sites and replacements.com. Many have pattern names with numbers starting with "V" and near "V 430", but none had it. This is probably circa 1929 as the saucers seem backstamped (embossed) with actual dates!

This kind of information can be difficult to find. The key lies in the search criteria. A Yahoo search for "royal daulton china patterns" (include the quotation marks in the Yahoo search box) yields 104 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek. You might also seek out Royal Daulton china collectors websites. Many have forums where the participants have a lot of specialized knowledge regarding the subject and accurate answers are usually quick to come by.
Good luck with your search.

John asks…
How can I find my mothers China Pattern from 1965? It's called MEISSEN JADE by WINTERLING/BAVARIA . Thank U!
She received it as a wedding gift in 1965. It's green floral. So far I was able to find the pattern on replacements.com however they do not have any of the pieces that she needs. Here is the link that has a picture attached. And I tried Ebay as well, however since I am new to Ebay I had no luck at all. Perhaps it is an usual pattern? Take a look at the picture at the link below and any help that I receive will be greatly appreciated!!!! http://www.replacements.com/webquote/WIGMEJ.htm

Here is an article about using replacement china websites and using registration services to help locate pieces you need. It is an excellent place to start and has many informative links to help you get started.
Registering your china sounds like a good way to start so you can be notified when the item you are looking for is available.

William asks…
How would I find out the pattern name on a china set I bought?
I bought a 65 piece china set on e-bay. The platter broke in shipping so now I need a replacement. The seller did not know the name of the pattern and it isn't on the plate. I'm not even sure about the maker. The mark is in Chinese.

Ling answers:
Try www.replacements.com. You can send them a picture of the front and back of one of your pieces and they will look it up for you. And the odds are they will also have a replacement piece for you.

Betty asks…
Any suggestions of how I can get pieces of a rare china pattern? GRI261 by Grindley?
Its a pattern that was manufactured approx 80 years ago in England.
Description: cream colour dish with Red & Gold Design On Edge, Gold Trim
I have been on the waiting list at replacements.com for 3 years and so far nothing.
Any suggestions of where else I could look?
Yes, I have tried ebay regularly and it never comes up.
I also tried some small local antique dealers - no luck there either.
As its a rare pattern, I am not sure where else to look.

Ling answers:
There is an area on Ebay where you can list items you are looking for .......... Did you post your wants there?
Here is the link http://pages.ebay.com/wantitnow/

Looking for some history on china pattern??
I have a complete set of china marked Royal Hanover , Rose Time, on the bottom, with the makers mark and Made in Germany/ Bavaria painted on. I cannot find any information about this company or the approximate age of my set. I found the pattern on replacements.com but no history.
Does anyone have a similar set or any info on Royal Hanover China? Google hasn't given up any results.
