well I hope this will give you a lil lead off of what you are looking for .. I am always on the search too.. Mainly for bottles... I usally try all stores that specialize in what I am looking for .. Or find them off ebay from similar products..

I haven't been able to find a stamp with that name unless it's extremely rare or handmade I haven't found anything like or similar to it.. Sounds like a classic tea cup... And the word koho appears a lot on the japanese sites.. I would look into that.. If not.. Email someone who is into fine china from japan.. On one or many of the sites specializing.. They should be able to help...

Good luck with your fun find :)

One more thing I was just thinking.. It obviously was not made for a market of the asian culture.. Either made in and sent here for that main production reason.. Or it was from a set of japanese style things.. For example a green tea set... I have two sushi sets and they come with the wasabi dishes and the mold for a roll.. All marked japan

Sandra asks…

Kaysons Teacup, on the bottom: Kaysons; Fine China Japan; GLDN RHAPSODY; 1961 by Kaysons Import Corp. value?

Anyone know what this Teacup/Saucer set is worth? My mom used to collect all sorts of teacups when alive, and this looked like one of the styles she used to collect. Bought it at a 2nd hand store to honor her, I am just curious of its "$ Value"... Thanks

Ling answers:

I'd google search for Antique Appraisers in your area and take it to them, they will tell you exactly it's value and it's free

Lizzie asks…

Kaysons Fine China from Japan?

Is the Kaysons Golden Rhapsody fine china from Japan pattern real gold trim? Cuz I wanna know if the dishes are microwave safe or not.

Ling answers:

That's real metal there...very conductive. Not to be used in a microwave.

I assume this China are hand me downs from Grandma or something.

They're kinda pricey, sort-of collectible and ill-suited for daily, let alone microwave use.

Charles asks…

  1. I have a round china container with a lid. It appears to be handpainted and has gold lines on it also. There is no labeling on it other than a red dot on the bottom that has been glazed in with the container. Can you give me history on this? What might the value be? I can send pics if you can help.
