Lizzie asks…
Where could I list a rare antique print collection for sale? ?
This collection is full of rare and well known artist worth several millions so craigslist or eBay will not work. Perhaps something like an European type of website for antique collectors. Thank you.

Ling answers:
If you are serious about this then you should probably call in an expert. You could also go to the History Channel's "Pawn Shop" and they will appraise it for you for free. Be careful selling this... Don't let yourself get ripped off. Good luck!

William asks…
is this antique? or a collectors item?
i have a decanter label, rum dated on the back fine bone china crown, est 1601 staffordshire england, i understand it was my grandads an he bought it on the navy ship years an years ago, i dont no much about it, can anybody give me any infomation plz

Ling answers:
I am no expert but bone china was not made until the mid 18th century so your 1601 could be either a poorly written 1801 or a pattern number.

Steven asks…
Looking to form an antique/collector club in my town. Any ideas how to do this?

Ling answers:
Besides asking at stores that deal in the stuff, if you have any, ask the librarians in your system - tracking through to find the best person - often a library system has a person designated to keep lists of local organizations.

Linda asks…
How to get the most value out of antique computer?
I bought a computer in the early 90s and it has less than 1 GB capacity. It is still fully functional, unlike most computers that old. I tried selling it on ebay but none of the bids ever came close to meeting my reserve. How can I get in touch with collectors? =/

Ling answers:
In portland we have this place called "free geek" i donated my old 90s functioning computer there, they're really good people.... Basically they salvage all the good parts from it and sell them for dirt cheap.... You can walk into free geek and build your own computer for a really good price. Check if theres a donation place like this, a legit one, in your area. Help boost the economy one crappy computer at a time

Donald asks…
Where/ who is the best place, collector or antique dealer to sell antique silver flatware?
I have a set of Frank M Whiting "Lily" Sterling Silver Flatware, circa 1902-1905, that I'm interested in selling. I know I have 6 Demitasse Spoons, 6 Oval Soup/Dessert Spoons, 6 Dinner Knives, 6 Dinner Forks and 6 Salad Forks. I'm sure I may have a few other pieces.
I'm looking for a good antique dealer, collector, or reputable place to sell the set in the DFW or Austin area. I'm not interested in putting these on EBay, I'd rather sell the set in person.

Thank you for any and all help!

Ling answers:
Go to an estate buyer for sure! They are going to be able to tell you the real value of the items and make you an offer. There are several companies that will actually send you bags to send the items in to them and they will call you with an offer. If you accept, great. If not, they return the pieces to you. You want someone reputable though so be careful. There is a company in my area that has been in business for decades are are really well known and respected. Word of mouth is good.
