Maria asks…
Where can I sell antique/collectible adult magazines?
craigslist doesn't allow that and I haven't tried ebay, but am hoping for a free site to sell on.
they are 60s - 70s adult bdsm mags
Effie - that would be SPAM

Ling answers:
Ebay would be your best bet. Try to google other sites that allow you to post items to sell, etc... Good luck.

Donald asks…
How can I sell contents of house?
I am not having any luck selling things from my house. I want to sell the house, but it has to be cleaned out first. Most of the stuff I inherited and there are some valuable antiques and collectibles. I've tried Craig's List and a locally circulated classified magazine. No luck. I've contacted estate liquidators and antique dealers in my area, but nobody is interested. I've even tried to have a few garage/estate sales, but the little I sold wasn't worth the effort of setting it up and knocking it down. The contents are too valuable to just throwout or give away. Any ideas why nobody is interested or buying anything?
I asked the family and they aren't interested unless I'm giving it away. Like I said, not even auctions or estate sellers want the stuff and there's lots of nice framed art, cut & pressed glass and china.

Where are you located? I know several auctioneers in Ohio that turn nothing down. They can even pick up. Please e-mail me at amandarex44849@yahoo.com. They will travel, so please e-mail. Thanks and good luck-Amanda

George asks…
How much are my antique venture books worth?
I came across 4 Venture books from 1964 and 1965 all in good condition. The tag on them says very collectible, but who knows what that means! The ones I have are
Venture Aug 64 Hardcover - Indians/Beirut/U.S Tour
Venture Dec 64 Hardcover- Puerto Rico, Washington D.C/Argentine Islands
Venture Oct 64 Hardcover - Hong Kong/Santa Fe/Montreal
Venture Jun 65 - more of a magazine type California/European Spas, Holland Canals

Ling answers:
You might also want to check in the Price Check forum of RarityGuide.com
Many book collectors hang out there and might know how much those books are worth.
Good luck

Lizzie asks…
Do you like 80s custom muscle cars?
A while ago I was reading a bunch of 80s car magazines in a antique store, and I couldn't believe how much muscle car modifications have changed since then.
I actually thought a lot of the cars looked really cool and unique. Many of them had custom graphics and body kits, along with after market hood scoops, etc.
But nowadays most of them have been converted back to their original state for collectible purposes. It's weird to see muscle cars being customized like they're just used performance cars (like a Fox body mustang today) instead of being cherished like a ancient artifact.

Ling answers:
It's like kids who used to tear open the original star wars action figures. Now people want them in their original packaging having never been opened. I now see some of the modded 80 muscles cars sale just as well as the stock factory correct cars however. It all boils down to who wants what. But you’re correct. It's strange too look back in many of though magazines and see what people where doing.

Ken asks…
Are 1970's Country Magazines with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and more, worth any money?
Are 1970's Country Magazines with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and more, when they first started out singing, worth anything? I have some old magazines, in almost mint condition, that have a lot of the singers in it when they first started singing. It has their songs written out, stories about their life and reviews about them. There are also singers that didn't make it famous. I looked in Antiques and collectibles, but I couldn't find out if they are worth anything. Where do I look ? Thanks!

Ling answers:
I am not sure where to look, except possibly on Ebay. I have at least 100 Playboy magazines that were given to me. I went through them and listed on Ebay the oldest ones, with the best interviews. None of them sold and I have 100% positive feedback. So, hope this helps, but I am not sure, in this economy if they would sell well or not.
