Chris asks…
which city/town in China is best known for chinese antique shopping?

Ling answers:
Here's a heads-up:
1. No offense at all, but a guy like you coming into China for the first time, you're gonna get raped (figuratively).
2. Anyone you know that said they went to China and bought antiques and showed them to you got raped bad (again, figuratively).
3. Even if you could determine the truth from the BS it's illegal to take genuine antiques out of China. Customs will confiscate it and I don't know what the exact penalty is but I wouldn't want to find out.
4. There are professionals that come to China and move antiques out of China and they operate in a very grey, very risky area. You're best to let them do the leg work and buy it in the US - sorta defeats the purpose, but if you want it that bad....

Nancy asks…
How much is my walbrzych china worth?
I was given a bunch of china from my mothers friend who passed away. It is all boxed up in my closet and just recently someone told me I should find out how much it is worth and maybe sell it since I am not going to do anything with it. I searched the internet some but couldnt really find anything helpful. Does anyone know of a good website that tells you how much china is worth? Or should I just take it to an antique shop?

Ling answers:
I would suggest that you just take it to an antique shop.

Ruth asks…
I have a 12 piece place setting of Noritake Colony China I would like to sell. Hardly ever used--maybe 3 times?
The china is white with small platinum rim on edge. Have service for 12 plus several bowls and platters. Any idea how and where to sell? Local antique shop did not want it. Pawn shop will hardly
give me anything.

Ling answers:
Ebay!

Sharon asks…
Does anyone know of any old fasioned toy shops in UK?
I love collecting antique dolls and china dolls. I've got four already and would love to have more. Does anyone know of any in UK?

Ling answers:
There is a shop called ' Past Times',it isn't a toy shop but may sell the type of dolls you are talking about. These shops have a number of different traditional things available.
I don't know if they can be found online so that you could view there wares and whereabouts too.
Also some larger stores such as C&H Fabrics also sometimes sell the dolls. This store sells quite a large variety of things.
You could also try E Bay.
Brighton in Sussex UK have both these stores but I am not sure if they can only be found on the south coast.
